Nachtrag /Addition

Hier ein kleiner Nachtrag zu Virginia Beach. Ich hab nämlich vergessen zu zeigen, was ich im Retreat gemacht habe. Ich habe mich wieder einmal in der Mokume Gane Technik versucht für Ohrringe. Die fertigen Ohrringe werde ich posten, wenn ich ich an der Garden  Gallery Ausstellung Fotos machen werde.

A little addition for Virginia Beach. I forgot to pist a picture, what I have done there. I had fun with earrings in Mokume Gane technique. The picture of the finished earrings I will post soon. I will be at the Garden gallery with them next Saturday/Sunday.

Mittwoch letzte Woche war ich in Artworks, Edmonds für die "After hour", gespomsert von der Handelskammer Edmonds, Artworks und Edmonds Art Festival und  Stiftung. Zusammen mit zwei anderen Künstlern hatte ich eine kleine Vorführung. Ich hatte meinen Spass mit Pardo Artclay in schwarz und weiss. Ich habe einige sehr grafische Musterrollen gemacht.

Last week om Wednesday I was at Atworks in Edmons for the "After hours" sponsored by the Edmonds Chamber of commerce, Artworks, Edmonds Art Festival and Foundation.Together with two other artists I did a little demonstration with Pardo Artclay in black and white. I di some verx graphic canes.

Claycamp Gold Bar

Nun bin ich in Washington State, in Gold Bar. Ein Polymerclay camp von der Northwest Polymer Clay Guild. Sie mieten jedes Jahr für 4 Tage Platz in diesem Ferienlager. Wir schlafen in 2 oder 3-er Zimmer und richten unsere Arbeitsplätze in Gemeinschaftsraummein. Es hat auch Räume für Kurse.
Now I'm in Washington State in Gold Bar. A Polymerclay camp from the Northwest Polymer Clay Guild. They rent every year a place in Camp Huston. We sleep in 2 or 3 bed rooms and get our tables set up in the recreations rooms. There are also rooms for teaching.

Mein Projekt war ein Etui für meine Brille aus Karton, Stoff und na ja Polymer Clay.
My project was a case for my glasses out of cardboard, fabric and yes of course polymer clay.

Virginia Beach

Hier ein kleiner Einblick für Virginia Beach. Christie hat Ihre Garage geräumt, damit wir einen kleinen Arbeitsplatz einrichten konnten. Wir waren zwischen 10 und 12 Frauen, die an Ihren eigenen Projektenp mehr oder weniger arbeiteten.

Dienstagabend haben wir uns In Ihrem Esszimmer, Wohnzimmer breit gemacht für eine kleine Ausstellung. Die Nachbarn waren eingeladen zum Bewundern und kaufen.
Thursday evening we took over Christies livingroom, diningroom for a litle show. Neighbours came over to admire and also buy.

Cleveland Flohmarkt / Fleamarket

Am Samstag haben wir zuerst einmal für ein Retreat in Virginia Beach gepackt. Wir werden alle Arten von Schmuck machen, jede von den 6 - 10 Frauen arbeitet mehr oder weniger an den eigenen Projekten.

On Saturday we first had to.pack for a retreat in Virginia Beach. It is a jewelery retreat and there gonna be between 6 and 10 women all working on their own project more or less.

Danach ging es an einen Flohmarkt in Cleveland.
After that we had time to go to a fleamarket in Cleveland.

Es hatte aber mindestens gleichviele Stände mit Kunsthandwerk. Unter anderem auch Polymerclay Doughnuts (kalorienfrei)
There were at least as many booths with art and craft. Among them also one with Polymerclay Doughnuts (no calories).

Gelandet in Cleveland /Arrived in Cleveland

Nun bin ich also schon einige Tage in Cleveland. Mein Kurs Millefioricanes für Anfänger ist schon vorbei. Diesen Kurs habe ich in Eva Shermans Grand River Beads Studio in Lakewood gegeben.  Und zwar in einer Schraubenfabrik. In einem Teil des Gebäudes sind zu Studios für verschiedenste Kunsthandwerker eingerichtet worden. Das Ganze hat den Hauch von Industrial Chic. Das Studio selbst ist sehr geräumig und schön eingerichtet, wie ihr weiter unten sehen könnt.

So here I'm in Cleveland. I have given my first class. A beginners class, Millefioricanes for a necklaces. I gave this class at Eva Shermans Grand River Beads Studio. The whole happened in a factory for screws in Lakewood, a suburb of Cleveland. In a part of the building there are studios for artists, craftsmen and fitnessstudios. It all has the flair of "Industrialchic". The studio itself is spacious and  very nice, as you can see a little further down

Da alle schon wussten wie sie eine Halskette fertigstellen, blieb Zeit um noch einige andere Dinge auszuprobieren.

Everbody was familiar with stringing necklaces. So there was even time to try out some other things in polymer clay.

Bis bald in / Til soon in Cleveland ans Seattle

Morgen bin ich auf dem Weg zuerst nach Lakewood wo ich einen Anfängerkurs Millefiore Polymerclay geben werde und dann weiter nach Seattle. Zuerst einmal ins Claycamp und dann gebe ich noch einen Kurs im Artcenter Edmonds. Ohrringe mit transparentem Pardoclay und Wireknitz. Für die Reise habe ich mir ein Buch gemacht, dass ich füllen werde mit Zeichnungen, Texten usw.
Tomorrow I'm on the way, first to Lakewood OH where I teach a millefiori polymer clay class for beginners. After a week or so I'm heading to Seattle. First I will go to the clay camp from the Northwest polymer clay guild. After that I will teach at the Artscenter in Edmonds. Neue Karten / New cards

Ich habe eine neue Serie von Karten angefangen. Wie ihr seht sind sie "dreifaltig". und man kann Sie gut aufstellen.

I have a series of new cards. Those are trifold cards, which can easily stand on their own.

Hier ein Halskette mit Pardo translucent clay  und zwei Paar Ohrringe kombiniert mit Wireknitz.

Nicht das Neuste (wie schon gesagt hatte keine Zeit für Fotos zu machen) aber das zweitneuste im Weben. Herrenschals in schwarz/weiss wir sind bereit für die Ausstellung in Bubikon oder so.
Not the newest (as mentioned I didn't have time for taking pictures) but the second newest in handweaving. Mens scarves in black/white we are ready for the exhibition in Bubikon....
